MEET THE DOCTOR
Dr. Hancock obtained her doctorate of naturopathic medicine from Bastyr University. She holds a BS with honors in Biology from West Virginia University. Prior to attending naturopathic medical school, she spent several years working as a forest ecologist and obtained a MS in Forest Science. Her love of the natural world combined with her empathic nature, strong desire to serve others, and curiosity about holistic approaches to healing drew her to the profession of Naturopathic Medicine.
After fulfilling her doctorate, Dr. Hancock completed two years of residency training. This included a year in an integrative medicine residency at Natural Medicine Plus and Urgent Care Plus in Helena, MT. During this year, she worked closely with both naturopathic and conventional providers and had the opportunity to do rotations in dermatology, family medicine, gynecology, rheumatology, psychiatry, and urgent care. Her second year of residency at the Bastyr Center for Natural Health in Seattle, WA continued to advance her training in primary care and naturopathic practice.
Dr Hancock has completed additional training in somatic and mind/body practices. She is certified as a focusing oriented practitioner and has also completed training in poly-vagal theory. She is passionate about the connection of nature to our nervous system and overall well-being and has offered nature based mindfulness classes at various parks and botanical gardens in the Puget Sound.
In her spare time, Dr. Hancock loves to explore the outdoors with her husband, Jason. They spend a lot of time in the Cascade Mountains hiking & backpacking in summer and cross-country skiing in winter. She is a voracious reader, and also enjoys puzzles and needle point.
MEET CHELSEA
Chelsea is my remote assistant!
She is a mom of 3 who lives in New Jersey. She has a passion for plants, gardening, and wellness. She absolutely loves our patients and shows up for them with care and compassion - the same way she'd want to be treated. She values the connections she has with our patients even though she has never met them! When she's not working, she's running around after her kids, tending to her veggies in the warmer months, and enjoying life! Once you connect with her, you'll understand why our patients love her.
